Comparing Wind Power to LFTR

Environmentalists dismiss Nuclear power as a dirty, dangerous and expensive technology that’s incompatible with a green future. Organizations such as Greenpeace go further and dismiss it outright as not a green power solution. These arguments are framed on conventional nuclear power’s inefficient and wasteful use of Uranium as fuel. Uranium while plentiful, is just as rare as gold and cannot provide a clean, safe, and reliable future to which LFTR can. LFTR campaigners need to distinguish between conventional nuclear technology and LFTR, as LFTR is the technology that can most readily bring the green future environmentalists campaign for. To properly compare LFTR and wind power the infrastructure built around both technologies must be investigated in order to make the best possible investment. This analysis investigates LFTR and wind powers grid comparison, construction and operational impact.
