Education concerning prudential borrowing for the general public

c.      Education concerning prudential borrowing for the general public

One of the large problems not yet addressed by this study has been the demand side of capital liquidity standards. Who demands, and thus drives these irresponsible lending practices? Multiple studies suggest that those choosing to take out loans that they cannot really afford are present in most sectors of society (Veirman and Dunstan, 2010: 11). One way to stem this demand, therefore, would be to construct an education campaign directed toward teaching New Zealander’s better financial practices. It would be hoped that through such a education campaign that those, which would typically be drawn into high interest loans with no underlying collateral could be dissuaded from doing so. In this way demand for such loans would dissolve.
